Spring Delights At Trereife House Easter Fair!
Trereife House is looking forward to hosting its fourth Easter Bank Holiday Food and Craft Fair from Friday 18th to Monday 21st April. This event follows the huge success of last year’s Cornwall Design Fair and Food and Craft Fairs.
The weekend kicks off at this historic Queen Anne manor house and its spectacular grounds with a series of cookery demonstrations, craft demonstrations and a programme of entertainment.

Camborne Trevithick DayCamborne Trevithick Day is a free one day festival held on the streets of Camborne to celebrate the industrial heritage of the wider area. The day revolves around two parades, dancing in the morning and the steam engines in the afternoon. The festival is made complete by the street entertainment, stalls, exhibitions around the town's centre. Highlight of the day............. goin' up Camborne Hill.
8th of May
Helston Flora Day
helston flora dayColourful dancing through the streets. Helston Flora Day takes place on the 8th of May starting at 07.00am.
The Hal-An-Tow (a story and dance by costumed performers) takes place at 8.30am. A Children's Dance at 9am.The streets and houses of Helston are specially decorated for the day.

Pirates on the Prom in Penzance
Guinness World Record Attempt Most Pirates in one place
THIS IS BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY -WHITSUN BANK HOLIDAY
We are going to regain our status as Guinness World Record holders for the most pirates in one place. Penzance will be celebrating its 400th anniversary of becoming a borough with the signing of the Charter of Incorporation by King James I so what better way to celebrate.
What to wear?
You must be dressed as a pirate to be counted into the restricted area on the Prom. This can be as basic as rolled up trousers white shirt or stripey top bandana or pirate hat plus you need to carry two accessories eye patch, hook, cutlass sword, pistol telescope. You are of course encouraged to wear authentic pirate garb and pirate outfits.

The Golowan Festival 2014
The Golowan festival is the festival of St John, held in Penzance each year in late June.
Events include a fireworks display on the prom, spectacular parades through the streets and a host of street entertainment. There is plenty of live music and theatre performances to keep you entertained throughout the week.

Mazey Day 2013
Mazy mazey day penzancePenzance comes to life in full technicolor for Mazey Day, the jewel in the Golowan Festival's crown.
The town centre plays host to numerous proccessions starting at 10am sharp. With numerous parades, loads of live music, dance and theatre performances and hundreds of stalls, you will wonder where the day went.
19th of July
The roads are closed, the decorations go up and St Just gets into party mood for Lafrowda Day.
There's live music, street entertainers and three magnificent processions. The children at noon, big images in the afternoon and lanterns after dark. The highlight of the week-long community arts festival, the day is showcase for the Work of the Lafrowda Trust.

Newlyn Fish Festival
Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide selection of Seafood, Cooking Demonstrations, Children’s Workshops, Fish Auctions, Open Vessels, Craft, Art and Trade stalls together with a full programme of Music and Harbour Entertainments including Gig Racing, Naval War Ships, Helicopters, The Penlee Lifeboat, the Camborne Youth Band and much more besides.

St. Ives September Festival
Each year, the St. Ives September Festival celebrates the town's artistic heritage with a festival of Music and the Arts. The festival runs for two weeks during September with a huge variety of musical performances: jazz, blues, folk sessions, classical concerts. The visual arts are represented well with gallery exhibitions 'open days', talks, lectures, poetry readings and workshops.

Mousehole harbour Christmas lights
The 2014 ‘switch-on’ will be held at 7.30 pm.
There will be an open-air Carolaire service at the entrance to the North Quay. The ‘Carolaire Choir’, comprising of the Mousehole Male Voice Choir, Members of the Mousehole Methodist Church and friends from the community together with the Pendeen Silver Band, will lead the community singing. This year the lights will be switched on by TBC.
If wet weather, the Carolaire service will be held in Mousehole Methodist Church.
The lights will then be on each evening between 5pm and 11pm from Sunday 14th December 2014 until Saturday 3rd January 2015 (With the exception of 19th Dec, when the lights will be dimmed between 8-9pm).
Please give generously to our collectors, as all money raised will fund the Christmas lights for the following year.

The Montol Festival is an annual arts and community festival in Penzance, Cornwall held between the 14th and 22nd of December each year.
The festival is a revival and reinterpretation of many of the traditional Cornish midwinter traditions & Christmas traditions formerly practiced in and around the Penzance area.
23rd of December
Tom Bawcocks Eve
Tom Bawcocks Eve is a one day festival held on the 23rd of December in Mousehole. It's held in celebration and memorial of the efforts of Mousehole resident Tom Bawcock to lift a famine from the village. During this festival Star Gazy pie (a mixed fish, egg and potato pie with protruding fish heads) is eaten and depending on the year of celebration a lantern procession takes place.
