Southwest Cornwall is justifiably becoming one of England’s premier tourists location offering something for everyone; be they surfers, birdwatchers, walkers, or garden lovers.

Penzance is set in Mounts Bay in an area which is traditionally known as Penwith. In a sheltered position close to the sea, its coastline, dramatic towering cliffs, ancient iron age sites , standing stones, sandy beaches and unique fishing coves all make for spectacular and stunning scenery.

West Cornwall boasts a rich cultural heritage: the Newlyn School painters, the modern Tate Gallery , Barbara Hepworth museum in St Ives and the world famous Minack Theatre on the cliffs of Porthcurno to name only a few of them.
Penzance enjoys the most temperate climate of the British Isles, warmed by the Gulf Stream and produces many sub tropical plants such as ferns, palm trees, banana plants, magnolias and camellias which make a stunning show in the local Gardens like Trelissick, Trebah and Trengwainton. And Cornwall has Britain’s most exciting tourist attraction with the Eden Project.

Penzance is both a market town and a popular tourist destination and features an attractive promenade and harbour that shelters fishing boats and visiting yachts. With St Michael’s Mount located in middle of the bay, this is a town you may want to enjoy more than night in. The south west coast path travels along the front of this busy town giving you a chance to take in its many wonderful sights throughout your journey.

Quality of food in West Cornwall has always been a pride for all of us. In the recent years, we have seen the birth of a new generation of very talented chefs and locals producers. You will now have the opportunity to taste the most amazing dishes and drink surprisingly good Cornish wines and ales.

An extensive network of buses and trains will allow you to visit all those marvellous places with ease.
