THE BLUE SEAS HOTEL
Built for a Master mariner in 1836 at the height of Penzance’s architectural expansion, Blue Seas is an elegant grade II listed townhouse overlooking Mounts Bay.
Today, we are a small independent, environmentally friendly hotel offering comfortable rooms, high quality service and excellent food.
Situated in the heart of Penzance, Blue Seas is the perfect base for a holiday exploring the history and beauty of West Cornwall’s coast and landscape.
COME AND SEE FOR YOURSELF…
Choose between 7 bright and contemporary bedrooms, all individually designed and showcasing local artworks and textiles.
Many have glorious sea views overlooking Mounts Bay towards Newlyn and Mousehole.
Our spacious guest lounge and library is the ideal place to unwind and plan your next day’s excursion. You can also enjoy a cream tea in the sunny front garden.
FRESH, LOCAL, HOME MADE…
We take breakfast very seriously here at Blue Seas. Our bread, pastries, cakes, biscuits, granola and marmalade are all homemade. Fresh herbs are grown in the back garden and we work with local independent suppliers to source our fish, cheese, eggs, meat and vegetables.
Choose each day from a varied buffet and menu with all dishes freshly cooked to order.
Penzance lies in a unique position at the head of Mounts Bay. Overlooking St Michael’s Mount, Newlyn and Mousehole, this holy headland historically provided shelter to ships, pilgrims and travellers.
Today Penzance is both a charming holiday destination and a stepping stone to the spectacular coastline and scenery of West Penwith.

Such a great guest house!
“This was my third stay at Blue Seas and I would recommend to anyone. The breakfasts are outstanding and the daily biscuits in your room are delicious! Fiona and Arnaud are the best hosts and they have COVID rules so well organised.”
“Fiona and Arnauld were very welcoming – not just letting us drop our bags early but providing coffee and a snack. The room was reasonably spacious with a great view. Plentiful and varied breakfast and zero irritations with our whole stay. For us it was as close to perfection as it gets.”
